Personality, individuality, and realness are embodied in each wine bottle.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing Richard said to us when we gathered around the wine collection was, \u201cLet me introduce you to the family\u201d. He managed to convince the British Poms that he was a vintner (winemaker). This worked in his favour as they needed someone to make <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grog\">grog<\/a> in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>In 1800, L\u2019Andre arrived in Sydney and the ultimate gameplan for wine began. The plan was to plant 12,000 vines in 3 years in Parramatta, located approximately 24 kilometres west of Sydney CBD. Not long after, L\u2019Andre made history by producing the FIRST EVER wine in Australia!<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Apparently it was unpalatable! The sparkling flaunts its creamy and toasty notes, with a fresh and fruity kick.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019Andre:<\/strong> Shiraz Cabernet is deep red and deliciously smooth \u2013 undoubtedly packing a punch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De Riveau:<\/strong> Sauvignon Blanc. This white wine is named after L\u2019Andre\u2019s cousin who was the definition of mischievous. He was kicked outside of Australia due to his naughty boy behaviour during the time of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nma.gov.au\/defining-moments\/resources\/castle-hill-rebellion#:~:text=Convict%20uprising%20at%20Castle%20Hill%201804%20The%20Castle,could%20continue%20to%20fight%20for%20an%20Irish%20republic.\">castle hill convict uprising<\/a>. <em>\u201cGoes to show how naughty the French can be\u201d<\/em> , Richard joked. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Crescent:<\/strong> The Shiraz is named after the block of land in Parramatta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Vengeance:<\/strong> The Chardonnay is named after the Napoleon ship that helped L&#8217;Andre and the men raid 30 British ships!<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOur <strong>GSM wine<\/strong> is in the barrels, ready for blending, and will be soon available after Christmas\u201d.<\/em> This wine is named after Richard\u2019s wife great great great great great grandfather who was a pioneer. of South Australia in the late 1860s when Ayers Rock was also discovered.<\/p>\n<p>We were amazed at the fine architecture and painted decoration and the level of detail from the period. All the rooms were well preserved and furnished and the experience was delightful!<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cToday, the Ayers family events and catering business has operated for 31 successful years&#8221;,<\/em>\u00a0Richard said.<\/p>\n<p>Richard decided to expand the business by using a select number of retailers to sell online.
